1. What this is
The Pythenians Hub (the “Hub”) is a community-operated website for holders of the Pythenians NFT collection on Solana. Through the Hub, a holder may connect a wallet to view the Pythenians it holds, burn Pythenians to raise the level of another Pythenian, earn badges, link a Discord account, and participate in community votes. The Hub is operated by the Pythenians community and is not affiliated with, operated by, or endorsed by Pyth Network or the Pyth Data Association.
2. Burning is permanent
Burning permanently destroys NFTs on the Solana blockchain. Burned Pythenians cannot be recovered, reissued, replaced, or refunded by anyone, including the Hub. Before any Pythenian is burned, the Hub will display exactly which Pythenians will be burned, which Pythenian will be upgraded, and the applicable fee. Your wallet will then request approval for a single transaction combining the burn and the fee. If you decline to approve the transaction, no action is taken. If you approve the transaction, the burn is final upon confirmation by the Solana network.
Every Pythenian involved in a burn - both the Pythenian being upgraded and those being burned - must be held in the wallet used to sign in. A Pythenian that is frozen or listed for sale cannot be burned until it has been unfrozen or delisted.
3. Fees
Upgrades are subject to a fee, denominated in U.S. dollars and payable in PYTH at the rate published by the Pyth price feed at the time the quote is generated, plus a small buffer to account for price movement prior to signing. The exact oracle reading used is recorded on your receipt. Solana network fees are separate and are paid to the network, not to the Hub. Fees are paid to the community treasury as part of the same transaction as the burn and are non-refundable.
4. Levels and artwork
Your new level is recorded upon confirmation of the burn. The upgraded artwork is rendered afterward and replaces the image associated with the same token; the token and its address remain unchanged. Until the new artwork is published, wallets and marketplaces may continue to display the previous image. Marketplaces cache metadata and may take time to reflect the new artwork once it is live.
Levels, badges, and artwork are features of the collection. They do not constitute an investment, a security, or a promise of resale value, reward, income, or future utility.
5. Self-custody and your responsibility
The Hub does not hold, custody, or control your private keys or digital assets at any time. Signing in requires only the signing of a message or a memo-only transaction, which transfers nothing. Any transaction that would change your holdings is presented to you by your own wallet prior to approval. You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet and seed phrase, and for every transaction you approve.
6. Community governance
Votes conducted through the Hub constitute community polls. Your voting power is determined by the Pythenians held across the wallets on your profile at the time each vote is cast, weighted by level (Level 1 counts 1, Level 2 counts 2, Level 3 counts 4), and each Pythenian can vote once on each proposal. A vote is final once it is recorded and cannot be changed or withdrawn. Unless otherwise specified for a particular proposal, the outcome of a vote is advisory and non-binding.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to disrupt, overload, scrape at scale, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Hub, its API, or other holders’ data. You agree not to impersonate other holders. The Hub reserves the right to suspend access for any wallet that violates this section.
8. No warranty
The Hub is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Its operation depends on third-party services beyond the Hub’s control, including the Solana network, RPC providers, the Pyth price feed, wallet software, Discord, and X, any of which may fail, change, or become unavailable. While the Hub endeavours to remain accurate and available, no guarantee is made that it will be. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Hub disclaims liability for losses arising from your use of the Hub, including losses resulting from a burn you approved, price movement, network failure, or wallet compromise.
9. Changes
The Hub reserves the right to modify these terms and the Hub itself at any time. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated. Continued use of the Hub following any change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Contact
Questions regarding these terms may be directed to the community channels linked in the footer. The handling of your personal data is described in the privacy notice.
